Graphic & Web Design Portfolio – Brighton & Hove,
Worthing, Sussex and beyond.
This is the graphic design portfolio Brighton & Hove, Worthing and Sussex businesses ask to see before we work together. It brings together brand identities, logos, packaging, websites and advertising campaigns I've designed for local firms and for clients around the world. Every project starts with the same question: what does this business need to win more customers?
From a refreshed brand identity for Hove Antiques to national campaigns for Dulux and Tourism New Zealand, my work covers print, digital and everything in between.
Graphic Design Portfolio Brighton & Hove:
The Story Behind the Work
I'm Simon Diplock, a freelance graphic designer and web designer based on Worthing High Street, working with businesses across Brighton & Hove, Worthing and the rest of Sussex. The projects above range from small local businesses to national and international brands. Each one was designed to do a job, not just to look good.
Brand identity and logo design
A strong brand identity helps customers recognise you, remember you and trust you. Recent examples include Hove Antiques, Regional and Bespoke House Builders forum and the Regional Building Foundation. For each one I created a logo and visual identity that works everywhere the brand appears, including business cards and shop signage to packaging, billboards and social media.
Web design
My web design work includes websites for Dulux, Nurture Higher Education, Forest Enterprises and Treghan Luxury Lodge. Every site I design is responsive, quick to load and built to turn visitors into enquiries. Whether you run a shop in Brighton, a trades business in Worthing or a professional practice in Auckland, your website should be your hardest-working salesperson.
Packaging design
Packaging has seconds to catch someone's eye on a crowded shelf. My portfolio includes Lighthouse Gin, Mela Juice, Brodie Estate and Alanah Estate Winess, along with a long run of wine labels and packaging for Martinborough Vineyard. Good packaging tells the product's story before anyone picks it up.
Advertising and campaigns
Advertising needs a clear idea and a design that gets it across fast. You'll see billboards, posters, press ads and campaigns for Tourism New Zealand, the Hurricanes Super Rugby team, St James Theatre, Little Black Gallery and Nurture Higher Education's "2 Degrees" campaign.
Print and marketing materials
Alongside the bigger campaigns, there are annual reports, theatre season brochures, direct mailers, flyers and event materials. These are the everyday pieces that keep a business visible, and they deserve the same care as a national campaign.
Why Work With a Local Graphic Designer in Worthing?
Professional standards. As a member of the Chartered Society of Designers, I follow a professional code of conduct and high standards of practice.
You work directly with me. No account managers or hand-offs. The person you brief is the person who designs your project.
Print and digital in one place. Your logo, website, packaging and advertising can all be designed to work together, so your brand looks consistent everywhere.
Local knowledge. I understand the Brighton & Hove, Worthing and Sussex market, and I'm happy to meet in person or online to talk through your project.
How I Work
Every project follows a simple process. First, we talk about your business, your customers and what you want the design to achieve. Next, I research your market and competitors, then develop initial concepts for you to review. We refine the chosen direction together until it's right, and I supply every file you need for print, web and social media. You'll always know what's happening, what it costs and when it will be ready.
